CMC Architects

CMC architects is a 50-person studio of design and architecture, based in Prague, Czech Republic. CMC's work includes large-scale urban regeneration projects, culture centers, commercial centers, office complexes, large residential complexes, galleries, villas, lofts and unique design projects of various scales.

CMC is a process driven studio of design, wherein every project evolves as an original work, based on a multi-layered and contextual approach to architecture. The majority of CMC's projects are in the Czech Republic, but as well the studio now has collaborative international designs and commissions in North America.

David R. Chisholm and Vit A. Maslo are design architects with experience in designing, engineering and building rational, conceptual and phenomenal architecture. The partnership of CMC also includes Vladislav Haken, an engineer with acuity in both macro and micro scales of architecture. Chisholm, Máslo and Haken have practiced in Prague for more than eight years, and they combine with almost forty years of experience and more than 100 projects completed.

The team organization of CMC is a unique and carefully assembled support structure, not matched in its capacity and all-encompassing scope in the Czech Republic. The overall composition of the studio includes 3 partners, 8 Managing Associate Architects, 5 Design Associates, 10 Construction Engineers, 3 Civil Engineers, 3 Expediters, more than 12 architects and 6 support staff. Seventy percent of CMC staff speak fluent English.
